For my figurative paintings, I already carry a whole catalog of ideas within me. They often arise from certain spiritual impressions and contain entire stories within themselves.
My abstract paintings often arise from a feeling. I don't so much anticipate what I want to paint, but rather feel something I want to release. The story emerges for me during the process.
